About: 

Brian was born in Washington DC, but moved to Seattle, Washington at an early age. It was in the Pacific Northwest that he first found artistic influences in Native American and Pacific Rim arts and cultures. He attended the University of Washington and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in sculpture in 2000. Upon moving to New York in 2001, Brian began painting exclusively. Drawing upon his west coast roots including Native American iconography, lowbrow surrealism and the cynical activism of his Seattle youth. Brian then moved to London in 2007, continuing to paint with style and vigor. He soon began moving back into mixed media and sculpture. Brian currently lives in New York City. Major influences include Egon Schiele, Robert Crumb, Ralph Steadman and Francis Bacon.
