About:

Sewing for the film industry: Hero Fabrications is Lisa Marzolf Craig. Sewing since the age of 11, Lisa graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Textiles and Apparel, intending to go into costume design for theater. Once in New York City, she accidentally landed a job as a wardrobe PA on a small film no one ever saw, and the rest is history. Lisa was lucky enough to begin her career in the late 1990s, when independent film was booming. Those early years on set taught her valuable lessons. Every department needs their props/costumes/equipment to be ready on time, to function properly, and to look good. Hero Fabrications tackles every project with these goals in mind. Whether it is a cart cover for grip equipment, the “actual” flag made by Betsy Ross, or a quadrupled dress from the 70s so an actress can get thrown into a pool, Lisa thrives on making things to solve problems no one ever thought they would have.
