Woven by Carol creates affordable, colorful handwoven goods. About 40 years ago my mother bought me a beautiful handwoven scarf at a craft sale -- it was turquoise, pink, orange and yellow with nubby bits and a lot of texture. I loved this scarf at first sight and wore it constantly. At the time I sewed, but didn't know anything about weaving beyond those looped potholders we used to make as kids.
Fast forward several decades when I took up weaving after years of quilting. I came across this scarf recently and realized that most of my scarves resemble the spirit of this one. I love color and texture and really enjoy mixing a bunch of different yarns -- both colors and textures -- into something unique.
